  2. My name is Amanda Neville, and I am a School Counselor at Brookings High School. Our high school serves students in grades 9 through 12 and has right around twelve hundred students. I have been a School Counselor for twenty-one years, and this is my fourteenth year here at Brookings High School. It has been a place where I have grown right alongside the students I work with, and I am grateful for the chance to support so many different personalities and paths. I truly enjoy being part of the academic, personal, and social-emotional pieces of a student’s journey. No two days look the same, and that is something I appreciate. It keeps me learning, listening, and connecting in ways that feel meaningful. Outside of work, I value my time with family more than anything. The simple moments tend to be the ones that matter most. I try to stay present for them because, as the saying goes, the days are long but the years are short. The older everyone gets, the more I find that to be true.

  4. Hi! My name is Krista Weiland and I work as a teacher and counselor in Sioux City, IA. I have two children. One will graduate this May from Morningside and my son is a junior in high school. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially vacationing together. I don't find much time to crochet, but when I do find the time I find it very relaxing. I can't wait for summer when i can get outside for walks and relaxing on the deck. At this time, we have no vacations planned, but I'm sure we will get away before the next school year starts.
